Eskmo’s track has been released for preview today. He really flipped this one. It features sounds I recorded in Iceland in a style that we haven’t heard a lot of from him. I love it.
This is what he had to say about it:
I was asked by Deru to take some of the field recordings and make a track. I had done a similar type of project a couple years ago with recordings from China and Mongolia as my alter ego Welder. That process was so fun I jumped at the chance for this Iceland one. Deru did an amazing job recording and at capturing the beauty of the children’s choirs, the rain, the rawness of ice and mud crackling and some randomness like radio recordings from the inside of a truck. I tried to use as much of the original sound source for my track as possible; aside from the kicks and synths.
