Jeremy and I each won an Emmy last night for our work on the Kung Fu Panda TV show!
Big congrats to the whole sound team that won as well (along with the 3 other Emmy’s that the show won!).
Not much to say, except that it doesn’t suck ;)

Legend of Korra - Free on iTunes
“Legend of Korra”, a new show that I’ve been doing the sound design for (and my partner doing the music) is giving away it’s first two episodes for free on iTunes. It’s the sequel to “Avatar the Last Airbender” and it’s pretty awesome in my book. So if you think you might be into it now’s a good time to try.

“Legend Of Korra”, a show that Jeremy and I (aka: The Track Team) have been working on for some time. The release date has just been announced - April 14th on Nickelodeon. Nice.

My friend Bryan took some shots of my studio while we were hangin last night.
(The image is much sharper if you look on his blog.)
Hanging out with Benjamin Wynn at his studio, the other half of The Track Team (his sound/music company with partner Jeremy Zuckerman), where he is hard at work on the sound design for Korra. Ben and I are old friends: I went to college with his brother and met him while he was still in high school, about a year after I met Mike. Once he made it out to LA to study digital music production, we bonded over making electronic music and became roommates for many years, including the first three years of making Avatar. He releases electronic music under the name Deru, and you can follow him on Tumblr as well: deru.tumblr.com

We just finished an epic mix with Adrian at Levels, joined by Ben and Jeremy (aka The Track Team), and Jason and Oliver from our post deptarment. It was tedious, but our adrenaline was pumping during the final playback. Mike gave me the stink eye, and I drew a Korra doodle inspired by mtgtm, an artist that tumblr’s A.I. brain accurately predicted I would like.
